WSI Retained by WCM Industries for Fourth Year of Digital Marketing Services
WCM Industries, the manufacturer of Watco drains and Woodford faucets, has retained WSI to continue for a fourth year of digital marketing services for their e-commerce site called Eagle Mountain Products
WSI was originally retained by Eagle Mountain Products back in late 2012. The initial project included creating 58 SEO landing pages optimized for keywords with volume of over 80,000 searches per month. The on-page optimization was followed up with organic link building and blog posting on popular blogging platforms. This activity led to huge growth in organic visitors, and a very satisfied client.
Phase two of the SEO, which began in June of 2014, focused on optimizing the e-commerce site’s category and sub-category pages. In all, 199 of these pages were optimized with new URLs, Title Tags and Meta Descriptions.

KCID Engages WSI to Enhance Companies Online Web Presence
Katie Campbell Interiors & Design in Oakville, Canada hired the services of WSI e Strategies Ottawa back in May of 2015. KCID’s overall goal was to establish its online presence as a premiere Interior Decorating Service for homeowners within the Greater Toronto Area and Oakville/Halton regions, with a focus on creating a home that tells a story and reflects its owner’s values through a collaborative process.
After a thorough analysis of the clients website, local competitors and rankings, the following was concluded.
1-The client had no existing rank for its most prominent keywords within the industry
2-The website presented itself with major load speed issues which would ultimately cause high bounce rates making overall ranking highly unlikely
3-The clients website was not being properly indexed by the crawlers
WSI moved the clients existing website over to a custom WordPress CMS and corrected the load speed issues by cleaning up the code and compressing the many images on the website. We also recommended some hosting changes, which moved load speeds into the green and helped Google better index the site.
Next, a competitive analysis and comprehensive keyword research was done to determine what services KCID wanted to rank for and within which local cities. Once determined, we began by fully optimizing 10 pages including new content and the creation of additional web pages centered around our targeted keywords/phrases. In addition, the creation of a Google my Business page and optimized social media profiles were also completed.
The last 6 months (Aug 2015 – Jan 2016) have proven challenging within the clients competitive industry which was expected before we began our SEO campaign. However, despite certain adversities, we have made significant progress in increasing what was once non-existent rank of many GEO targeted keywords to being just within reach of Google’s 1st page. Our Social Media strategies and increased content marketing have also driven much needed traffic back to the website which has undoubtedly helped improve our positions in the Search Engines Results Pages (SERP’s).
