Tenkara Fly Fishing company starts SEO Engagement with WSI

Badger Tenkara, an online Tenkara fly fishing e-commerce business, has engaged WSI to help the company improve its’ search engine results and grow the number of new leads and new customers via a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) initiative.  Badger Tenkara was started in 2014 with the goal of bringing the Tenkara approach to fly fishing from Japan (where it originated) to the United States.  Badger Tenkara primarily sells Tenkara-style rods in the United States.  The rods are designed to offer a reasonable price point and ensure an authentic experience to a broad audience of consumers, including kids, novices, and experienced anglers.

In May, 2017 WSI was engaged to start the SEO project. WSI started with the keyword research to identify potential keywords with sufficient search activity and that are important to the company.  From there, WSI and Badger Tenkara selected the 10 keywords we felt would be the most successful for driving organic visitors to the website.

Interra International Engages WSI for SEO

Interra International, a global leader in trade and distribution of food products, has engaged WSI to implement an SEO program to promote their food products and trade solutions. The goal of the engagement is to improve their online presence through optimized content, thus improving search ranking and lead generation.

WSI has begun the process by optimizing the top 4 wholesale food pages that are the mainstay for Interra International:

The optimization considered search behavior of global businesses in the food industry and the wholesale, distribution, and supply chain services provided by Interra International.

In addition to onsite page optimizations, WSI is also providing monthly content marketing to support Interra’s News Blog and Social sites.

Tracking has begun and the website is performing nicely. Visits and Conversions have increased over 15% and traffic to the optimized pages is up almost 40%. Nine keywords are beginning to rank and 2 of those have already hit page 1 of search.

For MorningStar, the increased effort is designed to increase the reach of the SEO to cover the keywords that use the geo-modifier of the nearby city of Longmont Colorado.  To that end, all of the URLs were modified to include the term Longmont, and Longmont was added in select places in the title tags, and headlines.  Finally, the following three pages were added to the Boulder section of the site:
